"The pace of life may not slow down on its own. But the way you meet your life can change."
— Patrik Harbusch, Founder Nature of Mind
The Gap Nobody Talks About
From the outside, your life looks pretty good. You are doing interesting and maybe even meaningful work. You excel at what you do, and the people around you respect you. You have built something real (a career, a relationship, a life) that most people around you call a success.
And yet, somewhere between the morning alarm and the moment you finally put down your phone at night, there is a background noise that doesn't switch off. There is always something unresolved, always a reason you feel just a little behind. And underneath it all, a subtle dissatisfaction you can't really name.
You look calm and composed to those around you, but inside it isn’t always like that. The tightness in your shoulders, the impatience that surfaces when you’ve had too little sleep and too much on your “to do list”, the moments with your partner or your child where you know you aren’t really present and secretly check your emails.
You may have already tried some of the common stress management tools: meditation apps, productivity systems, maybe coaching or therapy. These might have helped a little for a while, but eventually faded.
Somewhere in the quieter moments on a Sunday evening, a question surfaces that you don't yet dare to say out loud.
Is this really all there is?
Not because your life is bad but because something in you knows the difference between a life that looks right and one that actually feels right.
"Patrik has a very accomplished and calming style. A great balance between accepting where you are and encouraging real progress."

A Different Kind of Work
Most approaches address behavior, mindset, or personal history. But if the pressure keeps returning no matter what you improve, the work isn't only at that level.
This work moves beneath surface-level strategies into the deeper conditioning held in the nervous system, identity, and inner parts.
We regulate the nervous system directly
Through co-regulation in our sessions and simple practices you can bring into daily life, we start to build the capacity to stay with what's actually here and create a new baseline of resilience.
We get to know your inner system
We look at your long-held beliefs and the inner parts that hold them: the driver, the critic, the one who can never quite let you rest. When you meet them with understanding rather than pushing through them, the reactivity they create begins to soften.
We build a connection to something in you that is already steady, already whole
A place beneath the thinking and doing. An awareness that has been here all along. As this becomes your lived experience rather than an idea, the challenges of your life don't disappear, but they arise in a much wider space that can hold them without being overwhelmed.
Everything we do is grounded in established mindfulness traditions and modern psychology and designed to be integrated into daily life.
The goal is not to eliminate challenges from your life.
It is to develop a fundamentally different relationship with them.

“The experience of working with Patrik has been truly transformative. I've seen significant personal and professional growth, gaining both clarity and confidence to pursue my goals.”

The Six-Session Journey
Six private sessions of 75 minutes, held online.
Each session begins with what is actually alive in your life that week: a difficult conversation, a decision, a familiar pattern resurfacing. That is always our material.
Sessions 1–2: Ground
We begin with where you actually are. Using my Nature of Mind Inquiry model — a mapping of six areas of life — we locate where the misalignment between your inner and outer life actually lives. From there, we work directly with the nervous system, so that steadiness can start becoming your baseline.
Sessions 3–4: See
With that foundation in place, we go where things get challenging: the feelings that haven't had room, the beliefs running underneath the pressure, and the parts of you that keep recreating the same inner tension. Often the most honest question here is: “What am I unwilling to feel?” This is the heart of the work. Not talking about the patterns, but meeting them.
Sessions 5–6: Rest
In the final phase, we turn toward what has been here the whole time. The steadiness beneath the thinking and doing. We see what has shifted and translate it into how you move through your days: your work, your relationships, and the moments that used to run you.
Over the six sessions, you begin to develop:
-
Practical tools to return to calm — not just in meditation, but in the middle of a difficult conversation, at the end of a long day, and in moments with the people you love
-
A changed relationship with your own thinking — so that looping thoughts and worst-case scenarios begin to lose their grip
-
The ability to sit with uncertainty and discomfort without it dominating your day — responding from choice rather than conditioned reaction
-
A felt connection to something in you that is already steady, already whole — independent of whether everything is resolved

The Path Behind This Work
After more than a decade in real estate, business development, and impact investments in London and Berlin, I had built a life that looked, from the outside, like exactly what I had aimed for. But the underlying restlessness never resolved. It just shifted onto the next goal. I kept believing that getting on top of things would finally bring the feeling of ease. It didn't.
I have practiced meditation and other contemplative studies since 2017 and spent time on retreats and trained with Buddhist meditation masters. In 2024, I made a deliberate choice to go deeper. Together with my partner and our young daughter, we spent 16 months moving through Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Along the way I immersed myself in retreat centers, monasteries, and healing spaces. What I learned changed how I understand the mind, the body, and what it actually means to be well on a deeper level.
Drawing on years of study, practice, and teaching — including a two-year mindfulness teacher training with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, a 100-hour Nervous System Rewire Teacher Training with Tina Nance, training and applied integration of Internal Family Systems (IFS), and advanced study in Indo-Tibetan non-dual meditation with Loch Kelly and Mingyur Rinpoche — I have developed a grounded, integrative approach designed to translate into daily life.
I built this mentoring for people like the person I was: capable, purpose-driven, and quietly aware that something essential was still missing. You don't have to take the long route I took. That's what I'm here for.
